Which airport should I fly into?

You’ll be touching down at Chennai International Airport (MAA) — the gateway to all the festivities!

Will airport pickup be arranged?

Absolutely! If you’re arriving on 16th, 17th, or 18th Feb via Singapore Airlines SQ524 (AM) or SQ528 (PM), we’ve got your ride covered. Just land, grab your bags, and look out for our welcoming faces!

Do I need a visa to enter India?

Yes, you’ll need an Indian e-Visa valid for at least 6 months from your arrival.

Do I need any vaccinations before travelling?

No special jabs required — just your usual vaccinations will do. Pack your excitement, not worries!

Where will guests be staying?

Before 19th Feb: GRT Grand Chennai – a fab 5-star in the heart of the city, near food, shopping, and fun!
From 19th Feb: We move to Novotel OMR, where you'll be chauffeured to the wedding venues.

Can I stay somewhere else?

You can! But do note, our transport services will only cover pickups from GRT Grand and Novotel OMR.

How far are the venues from the hotel?

1) Haldi: ~40 mins
2) Wedding Ceremony: ~25 mins
3) Reception: ~20 mins

Are meals provided at the hotel?

Meals will be provided from the 19th to the evening of the 21st as part of the wedding festivities. On the 22nd, guests can enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out

Will transport be arranged for us?

Yes! Sit back and relax:
- Airport pickups on 16th–18th Feb (SQ524 & SQ528 only)
- GRT Grand to Novotel transfer on 19th
- Daily rides to and from each event
- Airport drop on 22nd Feb

What if I arrive outside the group pickups?

No worries! You can book an Uber, or contact local transport companies (links to be provided).

Is Uber safe in Chennai?

Yes — and super convenient! Use your SG number to log in. Tip: download the app before you fly and pre-schedule your ride!

Is Indian attire a must?

We highly encourage it for the Haldi and Wedding! Go full desi glam — it’s part of the fun!

T-Nagar and Pondy Bazaar in Chennai are fashion treasure troves.

Are there options for dietary restrictions?

We’ll have veg and non-veg options. Vegan/halal/gluten-free? Reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Is the water safe to drink?

Stick to sealed bottled water — we’ll provide plenty!

Should I bring Rupees or use SGD/cards?

Change your SGD to INR before you fly (Mustafa Centre is great!). You’ll need Rupees for shopping and tips.

Can I use foreign cards in India?

Most big shops and malls accept them — just enable international spending first!

How much should I budget?

Excluding flights and hotel: about SGD 600 should cover food, fun, and fab finds!

Will my SG SIM work in India?

Yes! Just activate roaming before departure.

Can I get a local SIM?

Not easily. Best to stick with roaming for this short trip.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes in hotels, but probably not at outdoor venues — so download what you need beforehand.

Will I have time to explore Chennai?

Only if you come early — consider arriving before 19th Feb if you’d like to explore.

What’s the weather like?

Chennai will be sunny and warm — think Singapore but drier. Light fabrics, shades, and sunscreen are your best friends.

What should I pack besides clothes?

Charcoal pills, Panadol, lozenges, universal power adapter, power bank, and your party mood!
